Biography
A decade in the low end
Placeholder bio paragraph one. Mertsia is a bassist and recording artist whose playing sits somewhere between dub weight, post-rock patience and late-night electronic haze. Raised on cassette four-tracks and borrowed amplifiers, they built a sound around restraint and low-end texture.
Placeholder bio paragraph two. After a decade of session work across clubs, chapels and festival side stages, Mertsia began releasing solo material — records that treat the bass guitar as a lead instrument, a rhythm section and an ambient pad all at once.
